Phytocalm for relief of stress and to aid sleep

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) granted a Traditional Herbal Registration Certificate for the traditional herbal medicinal product Phytocalm Capsules (Traditional Herbal Registration number: 12297/0014). 

This product is available without prescription.

Phytocalm capsules are used for the relief of symptoms associated with stress such as mild anxiety and to aid sleep, based on traditional use only.  

The capsules’ active ingredient comes from Passion flower plant, also known as Passiflora incarnata L..


Before you take this product

DO NOT TAKE this product if you are:
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • allergic to any of the ingredients (see Product description  below)
  • under 18 years of age
Phytocalm capsules should not be taken in combination with synthetic sedatives (such as benzodiazepines).


Driving and using machines

This product may affect your ability to drive or use machines. If you are affected, do not drive or use machinery.

Dosage

Take 2 capsules after evening meals and 2 capsules before going to sleep, with a large glass of water, daily.
You can take up to 6 capsules daily, if necessary.

Side effects

Minor side effects

There has been one report of nausea and tachycardia (increased heart beat) and one report of hypersensitivity (vasculitis) in patients using Passion flower.
If you notice any side effects, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Product description

Each hard capsule contains 300mg of Passion flower herb (Passiflora incarnata L. herba)
Other ingredients used is hypromellose (capsule shell).
