Dandelion capsules for minor urinary problems

The active ingredient of Dandelion capsules comes from the root of Dandelion plant, Taraxacum officinale

Dandelion capsules is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to relieve the symptoms of mild digestive disorders, such as dyspepsia and flatulence and temporary loss of appetite, and increase the amount of urine for the purpose of flushing the urinary tract to assist in minor urinary complaints, based on traditional use only.


Before you take this product


DO NOT TAKE this product if you:
  • are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • are allergic to dandelion or to plants from the Asteraceae (Compositae) family such as daisies, marigolds or artichokes or any of the ingredients listed below (see Product description below)
  • are under 18 years of age
  • suffering from obstruction of the bile ducts, or intestines, liver disease, gallstones, inflammation of the bile duct (cholangitis), and/or active peptic ulcer
  • suffering from kidney failure and/or diabetes, and/or heart failure
  • currently taking diurectic medication
Consult a doctor or a qualified healthcare practitioner if the symptoms worsen during the use of this product symptoms such as fever, pain, burning or discomfort when urinating, spasms or blood in urine occur during the use of this product


Dosage

Adults and the elderly

Take 1 capsule two times daily. Swallow the capsules whole with some water or other liquid. Do not chew the capsules. 
To ensure an increase in the amount of urine, adequate fluid intake is required during the treatment.
Do not exceed the stated dose.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Possible side effects are:
  • mild gastrointestinal effects such as stomach pain, digestive upset and excessive acid. The frequency is not known.
 If any of the above side effects become serious or if you experience any other side effects not listed above, consult your doctor or a qualified healthcare practitioner.
